Key Terms

OBEDIENCE- ls to hear, trust, submit and surrender to God and
his Word.

TRUST- The fundamental part of the Christian faith, our trust
grows through encountering God and meditation of his Word.

MERCY- God withholding his favor from us, because of the
penalty of sin we deserve.

WISDOM -The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, to
forsake evil is real understanding.

GRACE- God’s unmerited favor, its kindness we don’t deserve.
There is nothing we have done nor can do, to earn His favor.

RIGHTEOUSNESS- The bible’s standard of human righteousness
is God’s own perfection in every attribute, attitude, behavior
and word.

FAITH- The substance of things hoped for, the evidence of thing
not seen.

HOLINESS- In the highest sense beings to God: to set apart: to
be in the world but not of the world.

JOY- The joy of Jesus in us, is the presence of the Holy Spirit.

HAPPINESS-A new beginning guides us to happiness through
God’s word.

PEACE-A mental attitude of tranquility based on a relationship
with God in the Christian way of life.

JUDGMENT-God judges the world by identifying and
condemning sin and by vindicating and rewarding the
righteous. God exercises temporal judgment on the world and
his people: final judgment will take place when Jesus Christ
returns.

CONDEMNATION-To express an unfavorable or adverse
judgment: to pronounce guilt and give severe punishment.

HEAVEN-The abode of God, the angels and the spirits of the
righteous after death. The place of existence of the blessed
after the mortal life.

Yes, we are fully confident, and we would rather be away from
these bodies, for then we will be at home with the Lord.
(2 Corinthians 5:8)

HELL-The abode of Satan, a place of perpetual fire beneath
the earth where the wicked are punished after death. The
unrepentant sinner passes immediately after death, once God’s
judgment is rendered.

No man can serve two masters for either he will hate the one
and love the other, or else he will hold the one, and despise the
other. He cannot serve God or man (Satan).
